HATs and other add-ons • IQAudio Dac+

I apologise that I have posted this twice, once here and once in projects, I meant to put it in here in the first place

I have an old IQAudio Dac+ that I am trying to get to work with a 3B running the 64 bit Bookworm.

I tried
vanilla install
dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus
dtoverlay=rpi-dacplus
the above with a dtoverlay= before them
the above with dtparam=audio=on commented out
Regardless the IQAudio does not appear as when using aplay -l or in alsamixer

Anyone able to shed some light on this?
