I have been tinkering with Raspberry Pigs on and off for a while. I recently picked up a Pi5 and along the decided to ass a SSD drive via a Hat. I bought my Hat from 52pi, and picked up a Kingston compatible M.2 NVme
Installing it on the Pi was easy enough, with special attention to the ribbon cabling.
Once onboard I enabled by adding "dtparam=pciex1" to the /boot/firmware/config.txt file via a SUDO command and properly saved it..checking the file shows it is there. I did a SUDO reboot.
The SSD driven does not show up in the file manager. In the "Devices" tab in the Raspberry accessed via the file manager/go tab though I see the following:
File system. (Presumably the onboard system via my SD card)
SR 256
NX-256 2230
HLDS Inc super multi RW (a compact disc read/write unit)
In each case when I click on them it says the specified directory is not valid, and nothing shows up on the computer as a connected (or mounted) drive.
I am a little lost at this point. Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
