I agree. It would be concerning if you didn't hear it do this, ref POST https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power-on_self-testI agree. TBH I like to hear the fan spin up on boot. It proves that it is working. It sits idle most of the time.Sorry to say, but don't see any real benefit of this! Fan speeds up only on boot, just for a short period.
