HATs and other add-ons • powering a M.2 hat and a 3×3A PSU

I got a Pi5 and a M.2 hat, not the original that at the time was not yet released, but a geekworm X1001 one.
This one has a 5 V connector for additional supply, but no much instructions on how to use it.
Using it under a "more than low" load my system reset ... so probably doing an additional subbly is good.
My PSU has a nominal output of 40W but has three outputs, rated at 3 (PD) 2 (PD) and 3 (USBA) A .
the RPi5 is conencted to the first output, on teh second I have an aethernet switch, would like to use the third to supplu the M.2 board.
My question is: it is safe ? how it would work with the power switch on the Pi5 (it looks the additional board would remail always on) ?
