How do I remove the authentication on my new SSD installed. The drive fails to mount as it requires a password to access. I know the password as it is the same as my login. I have no idea if gparted caused this but I cannot find any help on removing the password. Re-formating did not help. The 256Gb SSD has only 1 partition and works once I enter a password.
I hope someone knows how to remove this.

HDparm did not help.
Disk utility does not have a security/password option.
Removing the partition and starting again also failed.
Thanks in advance for any help.
